My name is Nicole Sarwono and I am a recent graduate from the accredited B. Arch program at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo. I have a passion for creative and meaningful design solutions for a wide variety of design problems at various scales and complexities that strive to enhance the human experience. I am also inspired by a collaborative and progressive approach to design and love working as part of a team.
In my five years at Cal Poly and through my past four architectural internships, I’ve witnessed various methods of design process and have gained experience working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. I’ve gained understanding of integration of the various systems in architectural design such as structural systems and landscape integration, design narrative, and impact on the community. Additionally, I have developed strong artistic and compositional skills along with a highly organized and results-driven work ethic. While I graduated with a degree in architecture, I am also passionate about many forms of design including set design, graphic design, and interior design.
Through Cal Poly’s “learn by doing” philosophy, I have gained problem solving abilities and critical thinking skills. I am a dedicated, hardworking, and fast learning individual with a passion for improving the human experience through the design.
